Re: Field Trial Question AA vs SD
Where we run most of the time you can run an AA dog, but only if they turn with you. It separates the men form the boys for sure. I think AA is a lot of perception too. I and my friends run big gundogs or shooting dogs in AF. At least that is what we think so  However, we took them to a bri...

Re: Shed hunting bird dogs
I tried training one of mine to do this and we stopped after a while. I would take the shed and hide it in the basement and encourage her to find shed. She would get a treat when she found it on her own. i could never transition her to the back yard. She wanted to hunt birds or deer turds. Guess she...

I know what a good bird planter is. I know what is ideal. I am just saying you can't always control the uncontrollable. I was taken out MANY times by those silly birds who were where they weren't supposed to be. I was mad. Mad at myself for not training better. I sat and judge a 30 dog stake and wat...

Would you expect your dog to point and hold birds in the parking lot or 2- track if you were hunting? Because where I grouse hunt - they are. Broke is broke brother. Those birds are probably more wild-like than the ones "planted" anyhow. You can't control where the bleepin things go after you plant ...

I have never understood the whole no birds for puppies thing. Our vizsla clubs always try and put out birds for the pups. We plant the same course - because that is all that we have. A Gund dog should be broke - no matter where the birds are. last I checked broke is broke. Not broken.

Cell Phhone Signal Repeaters/Boosters
Does anybody have any experience using these? Where we live we only can get dial-up and satellite internet. I was hoping I could use a repeater to boost cell covereage in the house which is sketchy at best and then get a mobile broadband card or tether off my smart phone.
Thanks!
