I have two GSPs that take about 30 seconds to gulp down a bowl of feed. I have never really worried about it.

The bottom line, IMO, is that he is just too young for that type of exposure or any kind of pressure training, especially considering the breed. Looking for too much too soon from a pup is one of the worst things you can do.

Since inheriting a very nice correction of classic safety razors from my late father-in-law, I've returned to traditional wet-shaving using double-edged blades. I have never felt the need to "wake up the prey drive". Well bred dogs are borne with it, as are most any other dog....They are predators. Having said that, I don't believe it is ever too early to introduce game if done in a proper way. Although, I am not going to stress if it takes some to show pre...

Charlie, I lack the knowledge as to be so bold to disagree with you. Re: Any boxing fans here?

Started out by saying I did not know. After some research, I maintain my original assumption. Defensive/counter-punching is not nearly as effective in terms of knock outs as the aggressive boxers of old. Today they rely on judging, which has changed. Most of the top boxers of the 50's - 70's had an...

These are all good posts. And yes timing is the key, but also the surprise factor [not seeing the counter being thrown] and accuracy of the punch as I said earlier. I do agree with Neil though. Mayweather is very selective in choosing his opponents. He doesn't make a fight until he has a competive edge. It's no coincidence this fight didn't happen five years ago.
