Like to thank Rich Barber of Outbak Kennels, for all the finishing touches he has put on my Jill dog, winter camp was awesome....she had a 2nd place in south Georgia trial for 2 retrieving points, ripped apart the all breed.... got a 4 point major limited stake win this weekend, had a third in a gun...

In saying that a semi auto .308 Browning BAR are nice guns, a bit pricey new but look for an older used you should be able to get that down some. Ive got a Lab and shorthairs in the house, with young uns and really young nieces and nephews, teach em right in the house there all the same, with one exception.......Lab tails knock everything over.....Hahahahaha Love my shorthairs over labs for upland, no comparison, but to each there own. Vizslas are Hungarian, never heard of them being considered german dogs. The breed has almost been wiped out more than once, and was rebuilt with the use of other breeds. I had always assumed pointers were used, but it might've been GSP's as well. It is my understanding, and I may be completely off...

I have an 1187 premier light contour, it is a nice gun never had many problems with it, the factory blueing was not very good it pitted easily, even with frequent cleaning, wiping down. Nice gun I would reccomend if you get one go ahead and pick up an extra O-ring for the tube, cheap and inexpensive...

Have shot and owned/own all three and that is no particular order, IMO I have shot more through the Beretta and LOVE the gun, excellent.
In saying that I also have next to my bed a Smith 9mm....thing is just awesome out of the box.

I know you want an Alpha vs Gunx.... I can say IMO the Alpha is a nice pistol for sure, very well made and reliable, in saying that compared to a NEF, Love the NEF over it any day and that is due to weight, feel, can slide the NEF in back pocket where as the Alpha is a bit more cumbersome and bulky...
