The Eastern Sierra's Trip
Garrison and I went out to the eastern sierra's earlier in the week to do some hunting/scouting for birds. We found a few small coveys, but couldn't get the dogs on them before they went down the mountain. Had a great time despite the lack of birds. Dogs worked great all day. Only had a small scare ...

Thanks for the information. But, once I went to the "photo bucket" website and started the sign up process, I jumped ship when they required my birthdate. I think Doug answered your question. Not a shot at you, but if you have only been to weekend trials, and never even seen an AA championship, how do you know what it does, and doesn't take to qualify at Ames? How many times have you road Ames? How many trials outside the SE have you been to?

On a teachers salary I have to keep my costs below .70/lb. I dropped Loyall when they hit $39.99/40 lbs. I' currently feeding ProPac and its running me .625/lb. Decent feed and fits my budget. How many call backs have you seen recently? Most of them are a joke. Dogs walking at heel and whoad to point. Have seen birds planted under a pile of hay so there was not scent for the dogs to smell. As far as I know, AKC gets a $35 application fee for a trial and $3.50 a dog recording fee.
