My little field bred lab runs 5 miles a day with my fiancé, then comes home and plays fetch for as long as I will throw his bumper, or hit his tennis ball. But he is pretty much a physical freak when it comes to labs, or at least the ones I have seen.

I love my filsons, bought the single layer ones and had a 6 in zipper put into the bottom. They are very easy to re-oil ( I think its wax though) . Everyone has that certain shot set up that is just a thorn in their side. Mine happens to be the easiest shot, flushing from right infront of me, and flying straight away. I can go to the range and shoot it all day, but can only hit a live bird 50% of the time.

We taught our dog to " dance " at a young age. We saw that he liked to jump up on people and decided to turn it into a trick. Now he wont jump on people until you ask him to dance, its quite the party trick, and girls seem to love how gentlemanly he is haha :roll:

Everytime I take my dogs out into the woods they end up scratched and cut up. Its all good as long as pup heals up normal. Watch for big cuts and anything embedded in the tissue.

tallgrass kennels seems to have some pretty decent pups, not sure if they have any chocolates. My pup is from tiger mountain, and he is a retrieving freak. They have chocolates, but they are much smaller labs, tall and skinny. Have to watch them if you are hunting in really cold weather.

Natures miracle works for human noses, but doesn't even begin to work for dog noses. We use stuff that costs 300 dollars a bottle for oriental rugs, and we have a disclaimer that if the people still own the dog we cant guarantee the dog wont remark his spots. The way I do pups is to crate them, take them out to pee....if he pee's outside he gets some fun time loose but then back in the crate....then repeat....peeing outside = fun time. You can also restrict water some during the day and before bed time. He goes outside to pee he gets some water and free...
