I'm not sure exactly where Hillsdale county is but there are 3 NAVHDA chapters in Mich. I know the southeast chapter meets almost every weekend during the summer usually both days.

I made one last summer but I didn't have the remote on it. I had to plant it around corners, over hills, etc like Sharon said. I then borrowed a remote one from a buddy. Moving chicks from incubator to brooder, please help.

1. Let their feathers dry

2. Create a little mound in front of the food tray. They will find the water if it isn't too far from the food. You may have a few that will not find it and die but that's all part of raising birds

3. If you bought them as crumbles, they should be fine.

I think it's mainly for the handler to keep you consistent in what you want the dog to do. I use the name for a mark and back for a blind. I also used fetch through FF but transitioned to back when I got to that stage of the game.

What I've done in the past is put neosporin on is, but a piece of gauze on the wound then wrap it in vet wrap. This is the stuff that sticks to itself. I usually stand with the dog for a few minutes and if it tries to eat it off, I tell them NO.

In my experience, an ecollar will not do you any good. I would pinch on both sides of his mouth right in front of where the jaw is jointed and basically peel his mouth apart. This is one of the first parts of FF. You tell the dog 'Fetch' then you tell them to 'Drop' or 'Out'. Also with FF, you need ...

My thoughts would be to hunt like normal and every time the dog breaks on the shot, say NO!, low stim and bring them back to the spot then you go retrieve it.
