poodles...from everything I've read, they're flushers/retrievers, not pointers.
mine is only a year and a half, but has pointed the occasional critter. I wouldn't mind if it becomes a habit when we're after grouse or pheasants

For me, hunting pheasants in SD is the trip I still dream about often.
same simple wish for me too. would love to do a lodge type hunt once in my life - where the pheasants are plentiful, the food great, and the lodgings comfortable. Oh and my brothers were there to hunt with me
