Re: 8 Week old EP male, looking for a ride...
We are driving from central Wisconsin to Grand Island, Nebraska next week (leaving morning-Thursday, August 6th). We would be willing to meet the pup as far south as Madison, WI on Thursday morning before heading for Nebraska. And then we'll get to Grand Island Thursday evening. I think Madison is ...

I can guarantee you unequivocally that that pointer pups tail has never been docked, had a genetic problem, birth defect or anything of the sort. I AM THE BREEDER of the pup in question and he was just born with a 'broomstick tail' simply put. If a person is SOOOO worried about it they could contac...

Tony, As far as I know there is no genetic marker yet for the EIC gene to identify a carrier, but I do believe there is a test to see if your dog is affected with the disease, and not sure on the test available for the public yet either. Could anyone tell me if there is a test available to the public to test your own dog for the E.I.C. carried gene?
And if it is available, where can a person get one or does a Vet have to draw blood to test for this type of carrier??
Thanks for any information.

Anyone headed north from Wichita KS anytime soon?
If so, please contact us. We would be interested in possibly having someone bring a 15 week old EP pup towards Nebraska. The pup is actually in Pretty Prairie, KS, just outside Wichita. We would help pay for some gas.
Thanks for any help.
