Is your 12 ga equipped with choke tubes?
An open choke is good for grouse especially so as not to have them shot up badly.

Normally a dog is not gunshy unless MADE that way.
Your pup will need exposure to gunfire first if it has not already been done.

I am feeding the NutriSource Performance. It is close to the Super Perf. @ 30 /20. I like the NutriSource brand in general. My dogs coats shine very nicely on this brand. I agree. Whoever the trainer was, he had a very fine hand & manner with the dogs. Gentle, patient & understanding with the pup/s on a leash. I have a French Britt. with a floater on his rt. side. I asked the Vet what it was (dog in for exam.) as I did not know
what it was. It is regular shaped but never felt "connected". Vet said it was no big deal & not to worry about it.

Field Bred....Field Bred English Cockers are a decent & hard working happy go lucky hunting dog of the flusher type.
A King Charles Spaniel unless aa RARE exception is nothing but a pleasant lap dog. That is what they were bred for.
Second the field bred Springer also.

Towns nearby were Clark, Doland, Groton, Conde, Turton, Bristol etc.
Harvest was not going at all. Too wet. May be going now. Most beans were still in
and nearly all the corn was still standing when we left Nov. 2nd.
