I don't know how much this post had helped the OP but it's helped me a bit. I've been looking for a 20gauge O/U and at first was going to settle for one in the $500 price range. Well not so much anymore. Between this post and some other sites you all have convinced me to save up for a browning or Be...

Real nice. Anybody have a pic of 1/2" pitch or experience. Just weighing the options. I don't know if you will see 1/8" of a difference in a picture. I don't see 1/2" pitch being necessary. With a 1/2" pitch on 10ft of floor you are going to drop 5". Where on a 3/8" pitch you will drop 3-3/4" in th...

I think you heard them wrong, those look like German wirehair pointers not GSP. So how much research did you do on breeds before you picked one out? This is something about the breed you need to know: "Children should be taught how to display proper leadership skills . If this dog does not see human...

One bit of "culture shock" going from pits to pointers, is the amount of off leash time a pointer will need when compared to a pit. My LM who spends 8:30-4:00 in the kennel needs an hour of hard running and some training activities to keep the edge off but I have to make sure he gets good an draine...

I'm going to take a guess here and say you probably want a 1/4" grade on it, maybe even 3/8". Anything less than 1/4" per foot slope may cause standing water.

I don't see how tripe is going to reduce the amount of acid in dogs urine. I saw that it's good for their stomach so maybe it just cleans out all the acidity crap they get from the dog food.
