Just my opinion chessiemanic, If your dog is happy, healthy, and doing well on Diamond HE, you like the physical results you see, the cost is acceptable for you, the availibilty is convenient for you...then I would venture to say you and your dog are overall very happy with it... so don't try to fix...

I few close cohorts feeding it for awhile and liking the results. Personally seeing their dogs perform on it I can not offer or see any complaints. CC, Sorry. I don't know what that means. I was just offering up a very low cost way to DIY healthy chew treats. Even with a cheap dehydrator anybody can dry top quality protein treats for your dog and save a ton of $$$ doing it. But then again, I live in the upper midwest, on a farm, in the boonies....

Tripe also makes for an awesome do-it-yourself chew treat for those of you with dehydrators at home! It is a HUGE money saver in the long run...plus making homemade dog chews is pretty easy. Guys, maybe I am wrong here but I am somewhat certain bioengineered porcine plasma is a bit of a stretch to compare straight up to wild hog/pork meat in general. Personally I would suspect it is from previously unnoticed/minor bites marks from the fight just starting to drop off. Some really good insight on this thread! If you do have overflowing stores of venison and if you own a dehydrator; venison of any pieces makes a great chew treat for your dog if prepared properly. Cut with the grain(makes more chewy) and dehydrate until beyond dry! Cook in the oven on a baking sheet...
