Thanks for the replies. I had been using the codura faced jeans, but had a Sand Plum thorn go through them yesterday into my shin, so decided to go with chaps that are a little more impervious.

Would like to know what everyone recommends for brush chaps that aren't too hot or bulky while riding and still gives ample proction from thorns, etc. A lot of guys around here swear by Wick's but since they are out of business that is not possible. this is the only item in a google seach that came close to the Formax. Maybe the feed store you use is being bought out by a Formax branch, it looks like Sportmix is the preferred pet food of the Formax feed stores.

I looked at the website but there wasn't a listing of ingredients. I looked at their 26/18 formula and it was a poultry by product meal based feed. A local feed store said they sell alot of the 26/18.

I would recommend Odoban, disinfectant and odor removal solution. You local Sam's Club should have it or you can order it online just google it. Cost is about $10 per gallon concentrate.

I bought some of the stainless steel stake outs from the ad on the Coverdog board last year. Very nice stake out with chain and brass snap.
