Re: Dog throws up after eating

I have a lab that used to do the same thing. Put the dog's food bowl up on a small box or some other means of elevating the food. I also put a good sized rock in his bowl with the food...it slows him down and doesn't let him wolf it. Raising the feed is an excellent idea. Helps with several potenti...

Re: Dog throws up after eating

I wouldn't say she is gulping her food. I've actually used a baking sheet a few times to feed her to see if that was the problem and it didn't matter. I actually did this this morning. The Pro Plan "All Life Stages" Chicken & Rice kibble is a bit larger in triangle shape, compared to the Excced she ...

Re: Having "fits" while in truck crate...

She digs going for rides in the truck/car....as long as its not in the crate. Probably just mad not being in the air conditioned cab with music.

She has never gotten sick during/after riding in the truck or car. We drove her home to Salt Lake from Bend OR in a car and never had a problem.

Ok..jumping into back of truck. Little "encouragement" with lead and a few pieces of left over filet from Synders meat market...and we are in business. Will work on this the next few days....should be good to go.

Progress is cool even with the simple things :D

The guess is knowing when the dog is bloated and prior to its gut twisting. Even if I had that stuff on hand...not sure it would have done any good since when we finally recognized the symptoms, it was probably too late.

There's no definite list of factors that cause bloat 100% of the time. Studies have been unable to replicate gastric/stomach torsion on a regular basis. It's a bad deal. Most common suggestion as stated is giving enough time between feeding and activity and even then there's no guarantee. In some ca...

Packfish...where are you in Northern UT? I'm in Sandy and on my 2nd PP. Love the breed.

Have a new PP pup from Larry Stone. She is 12 weeks old. You say your dog is from CW stock...did you get yours from a breeder that has some of Bob's dogs?

The last two 50lbs bags I've bought were cracked (rolled?) corn and barley...which I read was a good food from another forum(?) I was buying pigeon mix, but it was pretty pricey.
