In dog lingo, that would be called "Kennel Blind"! yeah yeah yeah. :) "Kennel Blind" would be me saying he should've been a first or second round pick. I expected him to get drafted in the later rounds. :) Considering some of the garbage players that manage to get drafted, I'd have figured at...

well, i can't argue with gator stats b/c i don't follow them constantly. so comparing ratios from first two years to last two i will just have to trust that you know what you are talking about and being honest. leak has been plagued with injury, lack of arm strenght, and questionable decision makin...

Now - isn't determining what day she's on a bit of a crapshoot? Take my pup, we're breeding her this week. Our male started paying attention to her 2 months ago. She started spotting 3 weeks ago. She started a more consistent flow about 2 weeks ago. She might - MIGHT be ready to stand for the male t...

I'd put most of the blame on the owner of the female. As the owner of a stud dog, I don't know what state your dog is in. I am certainly capable of controlling him, but if I don't know there's an issue, I won't know if to do anything. I might not know that that female is in season - but the female's...

I believe one treatment is Flagyl - if you put your dog on it, keep an eye on him. One of my dogs had colitis and was given Flagyl - it set him on his BUTT big-time. Very lethargic, couldn't even get up on the couch. He got better once the Flagyl wore off, but apparently one of the albeit rare side ...

Plenty of pics on my website if you want to check them out. I tried to post them here but they show up HUGE when I do.
Check out Shooter's and Buffy's thumbnail galleries. My wife took some nice pictures of both.

We always use a birdfield or retrieving area for our HT's. For safety reasons, the gallery stays at the entrance to the birdfield and observes from there. They are usually able to see most of the birdwork along the back course and in the retrieving area. I don't think there is any rule against a gal...

I think it looks like a pretty cool toy and I'd like to try one out to see how it works, but I'm not rushing out to get one anytime soon. Someone brought up an excellent point on another forum - if the dog is in cover with a heavy tree canopy - what's reception like? I have a Garmin handheld and the...

I think the vizsla is better off than a lot of other breeds. While a lot of dogs from show lines wouldn't know a quail from a hole in the ground, and many dogs from field lines look like they've been beaten by the ugly stick, overall they actually look like the same breed, which can't be said for so...

I've heard the term Bench champion used to describe a CH many times - I didn't realize it was actually a different accomplishment until just now. :) The Brittanys do a lot of things right, and you can't help but be impressed with the breed. Personally, I'd rather see their FC have a retrieving requi...

i am just taking a wild hare guess from your first post, but it sounds like you have not hunted before. you should check license requirements. some states up here require that you either have a Firearms Safety Cert., or a prior license, in order to buy a nonresident hunting license. You done guesse...

Dumb guy from Fl. that wants to hunt pheasant with his dog..
Hey all, New to this forum, thought someone might be able to help a total rookie. I have a vizsla that I've been running in field trials and hunt tests for the past few years. I've shot over him a few times and figured out that I like it! Shooter also loves pheasant, so I'd love to go somewhere for ...
