You are confusing wanting to raise the head with needing more nose.
Breeding of the Braque Franicis and the Spanish pointer gives the breed high head scenting.This is the same breeding for EP's. The Arkwright brought better scenting ability .

IN the everybreed was bred to hunt in a certain style and I have no desire to see every breed hunt like a pointer The joke is that ther are 3 different breeds of Pointers. It was Danner...He's always bleeding from somwhere.. 9 or 10 inches in a horseshoe shape.He's doing good .Acts like its not even thier.He can't reach it to even lick it.The stapler worked great.

I have a 2yr GSP ripped his hide behide shoulder . He was chaseing a chicken and snaged it on the bottom of a farm wagon.Has anyone used the first aid staples? When i tried to enter my Gsp in a cover trial over the phone.The guy running the event said i did't even stand a chance if my dog didn't have a tail.I live in northern PA near marionville.. So i go thier and shoot all the grouse.That is why you go birdless at your trials. I avg. about 10 finds in 1h...
