Most the labs around here do about the same thing your dog does so why not hunt him. I think you could get him to point "I believe any dog will point or just stand there with enough training" but don't know if you would need to put the work in for that if he is in gun range then why worry about it? ...

The fly posion is called Golden Malrin. It is a pellet type posion. You put it in a baking pan enough to cover half the bottom. Then just put any pop on it but don't use diet. Oh, if you don't have other animals out there I have the best solution. It is a combination of a fly posion and pepsi. It kills anything dead as a door nail. Coons won't make it 10 feet. The longer you loft fly them the better. A few weeks at least. Start in the yard then a block away then 1/2 mile, 1 mile, 2, 5, 10, 20 , 50.

You would be taking a chance on just any dog but if you shop around you will find something good in the price range you want. I know you can get NFC sired dogs for 600 dollars so that is pretty good I think. Small price to pay for what you get out of it.

Cancer can be gentic and then it may not be, in humans that is. I am sure it would be that way in dogs also. They can now look at human genes and see if it is genetic or not. I am 30 mile past the border. Hoosier, you are from fort wayne, the best bird farm ever to exist was in Ashley, IN. I used to go there all the time but they retired. Man was that a great place to buy birds. Ever get birds there? Some of the prices were like $5 for full grown pheasants $2 for quail.

I count the babies in the feed amount. I ad a once per baby. I seperate the young into a different loft with less compition for feed then I throw some of the feed amount on the ground. The young can go around picking it up without fighting for it.

I use cider vinegar or a couple garlic cloves. I also put it in once a week. John 1 tsp. per gal is good for the vinegar. I only let mine out when training dogs. Too risky for me otherwise. I will also use bleach sometimes just like the vinegar. (Same amount)
