As much and as soon as possible! Once broke they must behave that way on wild birds, running pheasants, etc.

I would get NutriCal or NutriStat. Give a couple of ounces, tablespoon at a time about ten minutes apart. A tablespoon is a good squeeze of the tube. There are some good water add-ins, but the gel is easier to get in the dog. Thanks - I have NutriCal - didn't know it had that in it. I'll bring it a...

Re: Minimum Rest Time Between Braces - AKC Trial?
They're half hour braces. If you're worried, the dog isn't in proper condition. If you do get 90 minutes down time, get the dog up and moving 15/20 minutes before you go. I'd prefer back to back, maybe 5-10 minutes max between. He is in good enough shape, I'd just prefer he rested. Going to be 70+ ...

Minimum Rest Time Between Braces - AKC Trial?
Is there a minimum rest time or braces in between running that the AKC dictates? Got a drawing 2nd to last brace then first brace in the next stake after it. If that last dog busts I'm pretty screwed. I'd prefer at least 90mins of down time for the dog...

At vizsla nat'l events you do have to qualify at the line conformationally. Mostly keeps out the vizslas with A LOT of white on them. Now I think it should be the other way around... To get a show title your bird dog should have to take some type of test that it knows what a bird is. Somewhere along...

Well - the little guy did ok. Ran besides it mostly - checked out some objectives on the side. Didn't get more than 20-30 yards out though, mostly to the sides. I guess we'll just keep doing it until he figures it out. Not bad for 14 weeks I guess.

Yes, that is the gene for lemon and it is recessive, requiring it to come from both parents to express. However, there could be some other unknown mutation in there, also. The dog that is indicated as a source, from the pedigree, is Heidi's Mighty City Slicker. But, as mentioned, there are LOT of h...

Don't say a word, let her chase. It will eventually figure out it cannot catch the birds. Do not shoot any birds unless she holds point and stops chasing.
