Craig, The beauty is that you can take most any "line" of Pointer and do anything you want with it. It has much more to do with the owner than it does the dog. If I'm not mistaken, you're NAVHDA UT Prize I Pointer has a fair amount of Miller in him, doesn't he? :wink:

I have watched Hts but never FTs as we have next to nothing in my area.
Actually, there are field trial grounds in Broome County, just east of you and in Baldwinsville, NY, to your north. The circuit will be heading back up there in late spring. You could go and watch some nice dogs run.

i think if you look at wiggin's miss sammie and wiggin's twist n shout while they do both have some go boy in them, they have more miller in them than anything else. Obviously. My point was that as a Motherline breeder, I find it very interesting to study the bottoms of pedigrees as well as the top...

Setters are the classic grouse dog, but Pointers have been doing very well in the cover dog trials the last few years. ...and you don't have to spend the entire night pulling burdocks out of a Pointer! :wink:

It appears to be over at 13. 8F 5M. All liver and white with very clean bodies. Great looking litter. Momma and pups are resting comfortably. :D

When Sarah had 14, she divided them in half and fed them in shifts. The vet recommended marking them to ensure that they all get fed. I've never had any success bottle feeding pups. It seems that I usually drown them! :cry:

So Ross how many did the vet say you were going to have and how comfortable did they feel with that number? Most of the GR litters have produced 5-6 pups with the single largest ever at 9. Gene gets second overall pick so he was pretty excited yesterday when I spoke to him.

Joey was a smaller male about 45-48lbs but well perportioned.
No 'but' about it, that is the desired size as far as I'm concerned. As long as they have good bone, which he does ...and there is no doubt that he was Elhew bred. :D

There was a mix-up at the juice bank and your dog has Great Dan pups in her! At least half that is.... My vet is a reproduction specialist and she is doing another c-sec the same day, of Bulldog pups!! I said please don't mix them up in the maternity ward!! I mean, how could you tell them apart!?!?...

Spoke with the vet and I'm taking her for the x-ray in the AM. If there are a lot (which sure seems the case) I've decided to elective c-sec them out on Tues. Tak, surgical AI. We put the semen directly on the eggs three days after ovulation. The semen was only 40% motility after thaw. I was worried...
