Re: ep bloodline question

The Honky Tonk line was basically developed from Fiddler lines. Fiddler's Ace is probably the most notable Fiddler dog.

Introducing.... Lola.

Here's a few pictures of my new pup Lola. She's only been here a few days, just getting the feel of things. I have high hopes for this one. It's going to be fun working with a pup again. I feel it's a good thing to let a young pup have a couple of birds to do whatever they want with. Helps them get ...

a dropper is an pup from a cross breeding. GSP and Pointer or Pointer and Setter etc... Usually an accident, but there are cases where it is alleged to have been done on purpose to bring different qualities in to a breed.

I wouldnt have dare said it til now...but.I heard Blackhawk was half dropper...Anyone else? I have seen pictures of some tri-colored Pointer pups that were sired by Blackhawk. Could be "the old genetics from the original dogs used to create the breed" blah blah blah. Nah..... something is up there....

Yeah, should have explained more. I have a buddy in OK right now who can bring the pup the rest of the way to Utah. This is just phase one of getting this pup.

Since this is their first introduction to birds, I would assume that you don't have a launcher. Grab a helper. You'll plant the bird with it's wings locked (takes a little learning, but the wings can be extended and the lower feathers crossed to lock them together). Then work the dog into the birds ...
