no game, I always check the spot.

Dutchess will hit point for just a couple seconds, then turn and look at me, then moves off as if never "pointed". This isnt everytime, but more so then holding point till I flush. Welp I havnt used the collar when she has taken off, simply because I cant see her. I was just curious if there was a trick of some sort to keep her from takening off in frist place. She only seems to do it when she is out of eye sight.

Have a small loft with 8-10 birds. Have two hens that consantly nest on the floor, have plenty nest boxes available. One nest has no problems raising brood, the other nest lays 2 eggs as normal, but only one egg ever hatches. This hen has raised 3 different broods so far and always one egg never hat...

for the NA test, the pup has to swim, twice. Doesnt have to retrive, just swim. Dutchess decided she didnt need a bath and refused to even enter water...so failed test :( She does the same thing as your pup and she is 16 months, she will run in the shallows all day, even lay down in the shallow wate...

my frist loft was the same one as yours. I used the solid floor with staw about an inch thick on floor. Had no problems when it came time to clean, just pulled out old straw and replace. If he is big like the danes, teach him to be a carrier. Get a "dog pack" and have him carry your extra shells/lunch/coats/etc. He could be trained o stay 2-3 steps behind you....would be interesting to say the least

I just use the one that came with training package from Cabelas. Got 3 bumpers, whistle, bird scent (grouse) and blank pistol, $100. Pistol seems to be holding up fine so far.

Quick question on pigeon eggs...
Have one nest that had two eggs...normal. One hatched and if "half-grown" other egg not hatched yet. Has "bleep" crusted all over egg. Evey time I enter loft, I dont see the hen sitting on nest. Was thinking the second egg may be dead? go ahead and remove it from nest? Or should I give it more time?...
