By the way for those that don't know, if you are only going to wear one ear plug while hunting, place it in the ear away from the stock (on a rifle or shotgun). The ear tucked into the stock is less exposed.

You have to read carefully. Some indicate at what decibel they will begin compressing or limiting the sound above that level. You can end up comparing apples to oranges.

Some breeders with large litters will push owners to take pups sooner so they can get rid of the puppy care hassles. Personally I don't like taking them before 7 weeks & see potential benefit in waiting even longer. I haven't heard of the downside to waiting longer.

I can speak to ND - you'll need the 4x4 to travel the section line roads. I don't know about every place you've thought about hunting but in the northern Midwest many of the small towns have municiple RV/Camping parks with very reasonable rates.

Puppies potty & urinate so frequently at that age they'll go virtually every time you take them out. The trick is to never make them wait too long so they virtually never have an accident in the house. Having lots of accidents in the house tends to increase the length of time to get them reliable.
