Giardia doesn't show up in just a few hours. It takes a few days before the symptoms would show.

I would have to say I have never seen a rabies reaction such as this in 22 years, so I would rule that out. Anytime after 12 weeks of age is ok to give the rabies in my book, but I routinely give it at about 16 weeks to coincide with the last DHLPV vaccine. Why wait on rabies vaccination till 6 mon...

I literally have called all vets in my area and i have found 2 that do the 3 year rabies which my vet is just beginning to do this year but not even 1 that does the 3 year DHLPP, which by the way all of the vets i called have lepto in the vaccine too..still looking into this..im going to have my do...

she could have reacted to anything she recieved, not necessarily the rabies. allergic reactions usually present with the 2nd exposure to an antigen. like previous posters said, load her up on some benadryl beforehand next time. A few of things come to mind.

Poison, she ingested part of the stick which perforated her gut, or Von Willebrand disease. Weims are related to Doberman and have at times affected with Von Willebrand. It's a genetic clotting disorder. I'd be interested in seeing a pedigree on this dog if possible.

I highly recommend that you take Mo up on his offer! He currently has one of my dogs at his place for some training.
