If they are like chukars and huns, they are hold up. They can't hear well is what I was told. If you or your dog get anywhere near them, they'll leave. You will be lucky to get a glimps of them.

Lost my whistles in a house fire in late 1990's. Used it a lot in the begining but got tired of whistles blowing every where nondiscrimently. I do whisle som now but thru my lips. Two to get their attention and one after a command. They hear the one after the command and they are getting shocked.

Those really look nice. Lucky I haave a 410 if I got them I don't have a 12ga or a 20ga anymore. I would get a set of those, not quite so expensive as I though. Cures my one problem with used hulls too. Twenty shots or so and you need new hulls, the base isn't strong enough and starts to concave bad...

You have what you looking for and it's almost free. Take a fired 20ga hull and drill a 1/4" hole thru the primer pocket. Primers slip in and come out very easy.

Take a step back and build more desire for the birds. When doing the intro to the gun you should be throwing the birds for the dog so the dog does not get the picture that it is hunting finding and chasing birds . This will be a problem later if you are just releasing birds while the dog is in the ...

Pretty late here. A good shotgun for watefowl won't necessarily make a good shotgun for upland over pointing dogs. Generally for waterfowl you needs a gun that swings well.
