Sounds like submissive behavior...I bet it stops as time goes on. I wouldn't get excited in front of the pup or try anything that would scare just push the pup away and say "no".
If you try aggressive correction it could make the dog act even more submissive.

How much you need to feed is a reflection of the quality, including the nutritional levels and the quality of the ingredients and processing. I don't think I have ever seen a quality food recommend 5 cups a day for a 45lb dog. PPP website says 2 to 2.5 cups, OP's food says 5 cups. Volume is determi...

Video this behavior and post it.
If this dog is aggressively biting then you should give the dog back to the breeder.
It could be play biting and mouthing but you have described something different.
Well socialized puppies don't act this way.

I've read articles in the past suggesting getting a puppy prior to 8 weeks can cause anxiety and nervous biting issues later. If I find the article I'll post it. You should read rather than just talk about things that happened decades ago. There is ample evidence now that as vegetable protein goes up so does injury and illness.

Treats with coconut fat provide quick energy because of the nature of the fat, so that is a nice treat too.
No reason to be a Grinch with them for a midday snack.
