Get a walk-in map and have at it. Plan your hotel stay or camp in a location according to available hunting. For the first few years plan on driving and looking at a lot of areas to find the ones that are suitable hunting. I lived and worked in SW Kansas, around Hugoton, and there are quite a few w...

You should try to guestimate how much he ate and contact a vet. A lot depends on the size of the dog and how much he ate. I would call immediately, if you wait till tomorrow it could be too late. If its bad, the vet can at least give him something to neutralize/throw it up.

My step dad got me hunting about 10 years ago when I was 24. He had a black lab that would flush them but you had about 30 seconds to get to the bird before she started eating them. Fell in love with upland hunting ever since. A friend of mine got a GSP as a pet and just seeing the intensity in that...

Just doing a little research, but I have heard that Weimaraners are not the best with other dogs, so I thought I would ask the experts!! In one of the training books I have, it said that if you dog likes to dig, then give it an area where they can dig. Kind of a sandbox area where the dog can dig to its hearts content. I have a spot in my yard, an old garden spot, where I let her dig and it has slowed down the digging in the yard.

Adopt this motto: "You didn't pee it until I see it!" :D Put the pup on a leash and keep her moving. Motion stimulates urination. She's simply not allowed to go back in the house until she's emptied. She'll get it. This is a human problem, not a dog problem. She's an infant - eats, plays, pees, poo...
