My lil Pointer has a scar on the right side of her nose from a chipmonk when she was a puppy... she has hated them with a passion ever since! She'll tree a squirrel too... I have a friend who hunts squirrel with a Jack Russell that would rule the world if he weighed 300 lbs... fun dog to hunt with.....

I have a very soft dog that does not respond well to electric stimulation. I am very gentle with her, and I use the vibrate/tone for recall. It works great and I'm not yelling or constantly blowing on a whistle... I can quietly and gently work my dog... great tool...

I got my dog thru the same problem but take your time! Lots and lots of birds and start with someone else firing from a distance. Only shoot around the dog when she really has a nose full of feathers! Work up slowly. Get a blank gun that shoots primers and work up to a .410 then to a 20 ga... Make y...

Well... below the post window there is a tab that says "upload attachment" Click on that and then hit the "browse" tab and it should take you to a box with your own computer files in it... open up your picture files and select the picture you want to post and click it. it should appear in the "save"...

Crate training works... also, although it's a pain in the butt... take him outside every half hour or so... actually tell him to "pee" or "poop" and you can even take him to where in the yard you want him to go... the dog will get used to going outside and if you highly parise him and reward him whe...

Keep going out. That's all that counts. The birds will come. Talk to some farmers or Trialers that you know and they may have some info on where to find wild birds... just enjoy being in the fields with your dogs! Havn't killed a wild bird myself this year either... Been out every day this last week...
