I would ponder MMM too. A more typical symptom would be the dogs mouth acting in a talking motion. Open and closing like they are chewing or talking for multiple repetitions/moments. Good luck, and I hope it isn't mmm.

Instead of dirt you might consider pellets, either wood or alfalfa. Cleaner, and easy to scoop clean.

We have a dog who's bloodsugar can and has dropped at the wrong times (ie in the field). If you're worried about the energy level, keep things like pb or oats and honey granola bars on hand. A half a bar 1-3 times throughout the day can help. All the dogs get some of it on hunts, and they love it.

Raw is definitely not cheaper per say, unless you can supply your own meat. Deer season made it cost efficient for me in the past. People would package their kills and I would take the carcass. I could usually pull about 20+ lbs from each, if not more, but I am not picky. The dogs will have less sto...

That's a decent price. I used to do legs and thighs for $.60/lb, but would prefer necks and backs, they just aren't available around here. I am also on the road with the dogs 2-5 days a week and raw isn't feasible anymore. Both the dogs and I miss it! You'll see cleaner teeth and less waste.

Honestly, I can't see why you would want to start with so many, unless you use large numbers of birds every time you train. If you have 2 dogs and use 3/dog every day you should keep about 10 just to have backups incase of hawk/wire/etc. Pigeons are prolific little bass turds. Purchasing birds who h...

The Walmart brand is our choice. Same formula as the name brand, and same price regardless of which dose we use.
That being said, we buy the extra large dog doses and split them for our v's and Irish. Without a doubt most efficient way to take care of the 6+ we have at any time.

Isaac,
"Homing" pigeons are the most reliable but we have trained ferals that we trapped to home, it's all about coming back to the food, and once they have a mate and eggs, the drive to come home gets that much stronger.
