I've trained a dog for bikejoring - same demands on the dog basically, but in the city a few more controls for safety purposes. Here in AZ, they build houses with copper pipes in the slab. When the copper starts to leak, they just plumb around that stretch of pipe with PEX (going through the attic). Agree with WEMs - slicker than snot. Definitely beat the jack-hammer approach.

I should add that I worked with pointers. They seem to have an "off" switch, which allows them to sit in a kennel for hours on end and not go screwy on you.
