I don't talk to her much at all when afield and do not recognize her when she comes back to me on her own. I agree...I think its a maturity/confidence issue. We get into birds and she forgets about me and remembers what we are there for.

12 month old Pudelpointer is doing some wicked yo-yo'ing. Out and back...out and back. Took her out for a short hunt today...I did 3 miles...she did 10. She doesn't range big 80-150 yrds.

I would not give rawhide to your dog to chew on. Pieces come of and compact in your pup/dog taking veterinary treatment to remove.
