Filled my first tag for the year on saturday. Nice bird 21lb. 9 1/2" beard and 1" spurs. I felt real bad though, I've been hunting with my granddad for 5 years now and he's still trying to get his first bird. There were 5 toms comming in to the decoys but they held up at about 28 yards. I have a flusher

I have a flushing trained brown lab that works real nice for pheasant in my area. My brother in law has a trained gsp that we use also to hunt in the same area. We have never tried to use them together, IMO these are two seperate styles of hunting. Don't get me wrong here I love hunting over both do...

That is true you hardly ever feel the recoil while shooting at birds. Right now I use an autoloader, works real well for me but I wanted to go to the next level with an o/u.

Wondering if anyone has shot or owns an ultralight. Im a little curious about the recoil on the 12 ga model. That gun only weighs 6lb. Seems to me that would be nice to carry in the field on those all day hunts. the websight shows gel recoil pads for those guns. Should I think about investing in one...
