you might give a benadryl a couple of times a day for a few days and see what happens. Personally unless the dog seems to really be itching badly or in pain I'd probably just watch it for a few days and see if there's any change. If it worsens then maybe get the vet to look at it.

Depending on the temperature of the water during duck season in your area a female GSP would be my first choice, second would probably be a female Small Munsterlander, or a Britt if it's from good hunting lines if it's pretty cold. CR

Keep your bumper on a long cord or even on a cane pole and when the pup goes after it gently pull it away from her. That will often trigger their prey drive because "it's getting away" and make them work harder for it. CR

Well it sounds like in general you are doing well, and she's growing up. Greg is correct though, if you keep running her with the flushing dog you are going to have problems ever getting her to point, and especially to get her to staunch up on point. CR
