I planned on crating my dogs at night and when nobody is around to keep an eye on them and also in the vehicle. Too much can go wrong otherwise. My parents learned those lessons the hard way.

Remmington game loads in 7.5's with a 12 guage. I used them for both quail and pheasant - pen raised though. I downed a pheasant and a few quail with them. No problem.

I had not thought of the mud thing, as I do not have my V yet. I will be leaving a towel by the back door now. Lots of flower beds to investigate!

South Carolina was beaautiful over X_mas. Came back to Ohio and it rains. Lovely. Better than snow, I guess.

I agree with the mountaindog's post. That is one of the reasons that I despise the show ring and do not plan on showing my dog. I've been to a couple dog shows and watched them on tv. They just disgust me.
