I feed once a day usually around 3PM when there training is done in the morning. At trials if they run in the afternoon, I try to wait about 2 hours before feeding. One thing I notice is they have a routine of taking a 1 hour nap after eating.

We usually use "velcro dog" for the ones that won't leave the handler. I have heard sticky used to describe a dog that points alot, foot scent, birds in the bush, etc. Wants to point anything out of an excess of caution. Roading in on a bird is when the dog does not stop to point when it first sents the bird (bad). Stickey is a dog that hunts too close to his handler usually caused by too much pressure put on the dog during training.

Either a German Shorthair Pointer or an American Brittany would be good choices. I suggest you go to AKC.org and look under breeds or sporting breeds and you should be guided to both of them. There is always exceptions to the rule. There was a Brittany by the name of Pacolet Cheyenne Sam that won the International Endurance Open, a 3 hour heat that was the only Britt against Pointers and Setters. But as someone else said, most Britt Pro's stay out of that venue.

I don't know much about the requirements of a navada title as I am mainly AKC / AM field. I have heard that navhda is quite involved. Through my own experience, I found that when I overtrained my dog and put too much control on him, I got the yo-yo problem (that may not be the problem in your case)....
