I've used the Nutrisource Performance 30/20 and think it is better at keeping weight on a dog than PPP 30/20. Wish I could get it at the same price as the PPP.

Re: Dog Food
Al, I fed 30/25 and admittedly did not give the dogs a real chance to get used to it, like recommended. I would consider it again if it were more accessible. I think it's a great food, along with the 32/32, but I don't want to buy a pallet or half pallet at a time to get the price break.

Okay, sorry Mr. Hubbard. I jest. I actually take my dog's food very seriously, but I also try to keep it economical. HaHaHa, this is just for fun right??? I'll bite... I feed different foods throughout the year and have been using Pro Plan 26/18 lately, but will be going back to 30/20 when it runs out. Re: tug o war

Really keen newcomers want really good pups so they naturally go to strong field trial breeding where there is a high success rate. They can buy a pup but they cannot buy the...
Re: tug o war
Train a dog to point and wonder why they have so many unproductives (or an older, better phrase, "false points"). And the worst....fixing tails. What a shame!! It's all about greed and instant gratification. I'll stick with breeding natural bird dogs with extreme intensity. My kind of style!

My pointers will average between 8 and 14 miles an hour on flat ground depending on how many points they get, according to my Astro. On steep hills it drops significantly. Chicken bi-product meal, and fish meal I think would be considered meat, but I'll give you that it doesn't sound ideal. My dogs love the sardines and I'm trying to feed them one or two every day. Except I went to WY to run them for 3 days and didn't bother to take the fish along.

My current 8 month old pup is a hunting maniac and will be 500 yards out before you get your vest on. But, he figured out the stake out chain in 5 minutes and is perfectly quiet on it. One of the many things that I will do that shows intelligence as well as how mailable a young pup may be, is by putting them on the stakeout chain with other dogs. At 9-10 weeks old they can show you a lot of what they will be like as older pups or adults. I like the ones that fight it, but quickly ...

I have had pigeons for years, but recently got rid of them. My dogs keep digging under the loft for the poop as they are crazy for it. I'm guessing it's high in nitrogen since it's green??
