Don't use pigeons, if you have wild birds you would be crazy to use pigeons. I would trade one solid wild bird contact over 100 pigeon contacts!

We "train" for chukar hunting or hunting in general just by going hunting.

I like to hear about what the current dog is doing, not some dog that died in the 80's that happens to be in the pedigree.

My brother in law has a son out of Joker, 2.5 years old and a strong chukar dog. He lives in Northern Utah though.

I use a dog crate with a cover, never had any problems.

I just let the mom do all the work! I check on her every 30 minutes or so to make sure she is doing well. I don't usually even touch them till it's all said and done.

I feed sportsman pride and my dogs like it. $30 for 50lbs so economical for me!

I call for 2-3 minutes and then wait for 5 minutes. Call for 2-3 minutes and wait for 5 minutes. Usually sit in each stand for 20 or so minutes. Have killed who knows how many dogs, even won a few contests! Early fall is the best time IMO.

My GSP's ears all get scabby and bleed in the winter. Same with my Pointers. I have heard blood flow is restricted and the end of the ear basically rots. They seem to get over it quick, and it comes and goes.
