I dont think that will be the case. Farm land is gold. Even with a poor crop they get more money with corn being 13 to 14 bucks a bushel i dont see habitat making a come back once its gone.

Where will field trials/ hunting be
Here in Illinois farmers are farming up to the roads, taking trees out, heck they are starting to grow rice in the bottom of creeks just to get a dollar. I spoke with someone from South Dakota the other day, he told me last year with the dry weather they lost half the grass to cow pastures from lack...

Re: pointing
If he is a pointing dog he will come around just keep him on birds. I had a german shorthair that took a long time to point but when she did come around (15 months) she really got it. If you have the time and patience he'll come around. I recall reading Earl Crangles book and him saying dogs that co...

just find a food with the most amount of meat and a good price. try to keep grains on the low side. just beacuse the dog wont eat the food is not saying the food is bad. kids would love ice cream over chicken and green beans!

You can't train on wild birds during the summer and it will be next to impossible to find any on public ground anytime.

From what I have gathered, I really would not worry about the protein being too high because dogs can handle high amounts of protein when they're being worked. The old stories of kidney problems from too much protein can't be completely trusted because the studies were mainly done on rats. To me thi...

Drugs are illegal but people still get them! If they ban guns all it does is take away from the honest people. Do they really think a ban will stop shootings or killing?? I dont think the problem is your weekend hunter or anyone that has a foid card. If this happens it will just cut out more jobs an...
