The one we have does 45 ft from the transmitter, so you get a circle. You can overlap with other transmitters but to do 4 acres that would take a lot of them plus you would need to run elec to each transmitter.

Check out NAVHDA at www.navhda.org for help with training your dog. Hopefully there is a chapter near you or chapter members that live close enough that you could train together. We have members in our chapter who do not run their dogs in the test. They just want help training their dogs.

We had the TPLO ACL surgry done on our lab several years ago and once healed she was just as good as before. BTW our lab was called the anti-lab by many as she was not laid-back. We had a hard time keeping her non-active for severel weeks after the surgry. Best of luck to you!

If your dog is barking after it winds the duck and is chasing it that is not a problem. My friends dog VC'd in '05 and barked/bayed while chasing the duck in the shackled duck.
