How do you know that a dog is "really" from certain lines? What I mean is you are talking about this dog having Hege-Haus in it's lines but how can you tell someone didn't just name their dog that? I am learning about this and am not asking to start anything. I have wondered about it on some other d...

Our 3 are house dogs but have kennel/run for when we're not home. We put bales of straw across the back and on the west end to help block the wind, there are gaps between some of the boards. The door faces south and we do not have it covered. We put cedar chips inside and they seem fine. I find it a...

I work in Omaha and live in Gods country, Iowa. I like this area cause there is always some where to get into birds. Southwest Iowa pheasant wasn't as good this year but a couple hours north it was good. I have seen a lot more quail the last couple of years. We are 1/2 hour from Skyline hunting pres...

As matter of fact since the e-fence has the tone as a warning that is very close, if not the same, as the tone on the e-collar we can use the tone when hunting to get the dogs to come to us. I have a concern that if the audible warning that the e fence collar gives would initiate a recall command r...

We bought a wireless doorbell that had 2 doorbells. We put one on the inside of the door and one on the outside. Our dogs never "got " using the one inside, they were already housebroke. Again I dont think how much a person is willing or able to pay for a dog has much to do with how the dog will be cared for, that depends on the person involved and should be screened for by the breeder. There are just as many rich people who have no business owning a dog as there are poor people wh...

Check out NAVHDA at www.navhda.org for help with training your dog. Hopefully there is a chapter near you or chapter members that live close enough that you could train together. We have members in our chapter who do not run their dogs in the test. They just want help training their dogs.

We have the Petsafe wireless e-fence and love it. It is a reconditioned one we got off e-bay. We did have a problem with our lab "breaking" through. I have had the e-collar on my dog when I took her to the vet. I was waiting for someone to say something but no one did. Dog trailer questions
My husband and I are thinking of getting a dog trailer. We know nothing about them and do not know what to look for. We have 2 GSP and will be getting another in the coming year. We would probably like a 4 dog one.
Pros/Cons? Any input would be great.
