I would boundary train him, like they do for invisible fence. If he goes within a certain distance of the door, he earns a correction. A ScatMat would be appropriate to indicate the boundary. Today was very stressful at times especially when the 8 year old droped the cat right in front of Gunther. We had him broke from the cat

It seems that gunther has gained a ton of energy in the two weeks I was gone.
The people we had house sitting was family.

Where does your dog go when your at work ? Do you leave toys outside for them or do they just hang out while your gone.
We have balls and other dog friendly toys out side so they don't dig or go crazy and tear things up.
