I would boundary train him, like they do for invisible fence. If he goes within a certain distance of the door, he earns a correction. A ScatMat would be appropriate to indicate the boundary. Looking up a scatmat and I started feeding him by the door because thats where I have my coffee every day. ...

Who cares what his Pedigree is as long as you love your dog and he does not have a third leg growing out of his head . :D

I just drove I-40 from NM to NC and the humidity was not to bad But once I headed down threw Ga to I-20 to Texas Holy cats they had some humidity. I was not use to that :(

HOLY CATS !! Is that the norm where your at ? When we lived in Phoenix AZ we would freeze ice blocks to put in our pool and put one in or right beside the dog house.

jersey has OCD when it comes to frogs..if she comes across one in the yard she will sit and paw at it lightly and move it around with her nose all day long until the poor thing dies, then she will carry it around from place to place trying to get it to jump just my luck that weve had more frogs lat...

This has a filter on the bottom of it so the water comes out VERY slow so he will try and get his tongue as far back as he can trying to get water. GSPs are notoriously afraid of water,that's why he's acting that way. Try either putting on one of those neoprene life-jackets they all seem to have, or try duck taping a piece of pvc pipe about 10" long to that stub where a tail should be, these things might give your dog the confidence it needs t...

Gunther will lay down to drink I have never seen a dog do this before. My question is should I be elevating his water dish ? Today was very stressful at times especially when the 8 year old droped the cat right in front of Gunther. We had him broke from the cat :( It seems that gunther has gained a ton of energy in the two weeks I was gone.
The people we had house sitting was family. :( :(

My lab never did this so i never worried about going away. I need to STOP comparing him they are two different breeds and no two dogs are alike.

Where does your dog go when your at work ? Do you leave toys outside for them or do they just hang out while your gone.
We have balls and other dog friendly toys out side so they don't dig or go crazy and tear things up.

We really don't have neighbors but when we did one of our dogs barked A LOT so she had to go every where with us or come inside all the time. If someone had an issue with my dog they BETTER come to me first. I would never harm someones dog but don't think I would not all the cops and animal control ...
