Not to hijack the thread but i have a question about squeekers. We have a book that says to show the squeekers where the food/water are at about 14 days- that is when the parents stop taking care of them. Is this correct? Thanks for any help. Kristi

If ours feel too crowded they will start pecking at each other. So we split them up at that point if needed. We also throw in a couple heads of lettuce each week- break it apart a bit for them. They peck at that instead of each other and that also keeps them hydrated in cold weather when water freez...

We ended up taking him to the vets last night. No move further north in Ohio! No kidding- the breeder of my avatar dog is always shocked when i tell her the prices over here for OFA, surgeries, etc. She gets everything for usually at least half of what we pay- she's in northwestern Illinois....Kristi

You should come down to Kildeer Plains and play at the Buckeye Brittany club trial- March 7 & 8th! That gives you a few weeks to whip your dog into shape! Well cross-country you'll probably have to pedal more. There is a bike path at our reservoir Carl uses- he keeps the bike on the path and the dog is in the grass beside the path. Update: We're very happy with the launchers purchased from Scott. For the price of one LCS bird launcher we got two from him. Lag time is minimal and although not extremely loud the locator is loud enough for us. Kristi
