Jon, Thanks for the info, I wanted to make a larger dog run so that when I get another dog, a female, when she is in heat I can devide the kennel. I looked at home depot and all I saw was the prefab that they had out. Thanks for the info. :thumbright:

I have the pheasant and it does teach where the dog should handle the bird. The pheasant is big though and when Cash was young, he had a hard time getting it in his mouth. There are smaller ones and for a pup I would get one of those.

Ayres said it best. I would do a money order and then makes sure it clears before shipping the item. Paypal is quick but there are fees, I think around 3% of the total price, and if someone makes a complaint then money is in limbo for a long while. It is best to ask for a money order or a bank check...

I don't clip the wings of the birds I give my pup but I do let my pup get to the bird. For me it helps the dog know that the bird is nothing to be afraid of, it also helps Cash know what I want him to be going after. I have read alot about dogs that just don't like the feel of birds in thier mouths....

A little while back in gun dog magazine, there as an article about this very thing. The dog had a mouth full of quills not nearly as bad as this dog.
