The normal rate is 100 bucks a night for the cabin. The only openings we have are in Sept and October, and then after thanksgiving.

Re: 6 saturdays from opener in wi--openings left in our cabin
We have some openings left for any of the self guided hunters out there. You will have access to a cabin, with woodstove, propane heat, generator, on about 1000 acres of hunting land. Cabin can sleep up to 6. It is our family cabin, we guide bow hunters mostly. Let me know if anyone is interested. A...

I just looked at the calendar and realized it is coming up quick. Hopefully our cool summer will translate to a cool early fall season in northern Wisconsin.

Looking over this thread has got me thinking the following, and i know the DD people are going to freak out. the parents are registered DD's. My dog is a GWP, The exact same dog could of been a DD if the parents took the dog tests. Genetically, at least in this situation, the dogs are the same. Does...

Well i have access to a cabin, not anything like the above, but still it sits on roughly 1000 acres of forest that is prime condition. it is north more of where you are looking. I can safely say it will be cheaper than anything else you can find. But still nice enough for a hunter and his dogs.

Is there any argument for altering a dog, besides the fact that he can get out and find a female?

Netuer a dog at 4 months---good or bad
I just got my GWP back from the vet and they said they can neuter at 4 months. that seems way too early to me. I have some questions. First Is that too early? Should i even neuter the male. I do not plan on breeding him. My other dog, a GSP is spayed. I am thinking they will get along alot better if...

The litter ,most likely, does not have german papers. If the parents were not tested VDD will not recognize and will not tattoo the litter.AKC and NAVHDA recognize DDs as GWPs. The dogs and the parents are registered with NAVHDA and recognized as GWP. So yes they are technically no longer DD. The male is the "pick of the litter" by the breeder. I use that term loosely, but in his estimation, it will be the best pup of the litter.

Normally, they are in the same places you would find them if there wasn't snow, but with so many people baiting deer around here, i bet the grouse are at any corn pile you can find.
Your right, once you find them in the snow, it does get fun.
