Well crossing a pointer with a GSP, you can still have disease's. I'm not saying it's just looks by all means, but when it's said that they were crossed in books, you tend to believe.

True. I have fed O'l Roy for 6 years! Obviously add hot water in the cold winter with a little scraps here and there. Oh and post above your Ezzy, It's very dry here in Utah not humid at all. But I get the Jist, not good to keep switching.

Well I was originally feeding crappy O'l Roy. Switched to Purina Dog Chow, I just want them to be eating decent feed. Plus I am going to start some mild running up the Oquirr Mountains here soon.

Thats the way I see it. They charge an arm and a leg it seems to me. I have come across a couple vets in my area that are actually really good, and don't charge "overkill"

Either another Lab, a GSP or a GWP. All will retrieve any bird to hand unbelievably. You wont be disappointed.

24 - 18 Feed

So I was at my local IFA, and I came across a feed that I am interested in for my dog's. It's Enhance Hunter's Edge Basic's, its a 24-18 and it was 32 bucks for a 42lb bag. http://www.enhance3022.com/products#in-season

Well I for one only need Ivomec or any other brand like it for my own Dog, where I have not to worry about shipping. I don't like being taken by vet's making you pay for prescriptions for things like heart worm. Just my thought.

Seems to me there trials are for people that are mostly weekend hunters, whats wrong with that? No weekend hunter cares if his dog breaks after flush, they care about the dog finding the bird, pointing (or flushing) and retrieving back to him. And what weekend hunter hasn't run with a gun? I was thinking back, my sister had a Lab/Chow mix (it looked identical to a flat coated retriever) that I use to pheasant hunt with. she was actually really good at flushing close to me instead of running off and spooking all the birds
