Re: Pro Plan Shredded Chicken and Rice
I have one qualm with the chicken and rice shredded. I found it to be horrible! We always fed our boxers Purina's adult chicken and rice. We had to double their food intake and they were still losing weight on the shredded crap, although they loved it and ate it like candy. So we switched and put th...

Now....I've been feeding Purina Pro Plan for some time. Our dogs had been doing great on it...until... When they switched their adult chicken and rice to the shredded blend, I swear they changed something in the Pro Plan too. My dogs became BIG poop eaters and I had to double what I was feeding them...

Re: What to feed pigeons?
We used a small flexible tubing that was probably 3/8" at the most 1/2" from the tank to the waterers. If you use automatic waterers and not nipples I highly recommend placing the waterers on some sort of stand or blocks that it won't fall off of or where birds can cause it to fall off. Reason being...

Re: What to feed pigeons?
We used a 50 gallon drum secured to the joists in our barn outside of the quail pen. We then ran a flexible rubber hose from the 50 gallon drum thru a small hole in the wall into the quail pen to our automatic waterers (they weren't nipple waterers). And it worked great! The only problem we had was ...

Add vegetable/corn or fish oil. We've done that to help add weight to our horses and dogs, when needed. It works very well, and helps make for a nicer coat too.

Re: Big boned horses
I think in the old westerns you were seeing more of the old type foundation style quarter horses. I'm more familiar with MO Foxtrotters than Quarter Horses, but that trend has come about in the Foxtrotters also. The finer boned and short neck horse is very common now and a finer boned horse is not i...

Greg, Totally agree on the running thing with judges, why is the biggest running dog alot of times looked at first? Planting birds is a BIG problem at alot of trials, too. Why are we rewarding a dog for running the horse path or just off it with a find and punishing those dogs that go out and hunt c...

Ezzy, I understand what you are saying, and I certainly wouldn't want that either. Natural and true point is better over a fake or created point.
