The gun show this last Sunday was kind of a bust. Small show, only (3) side x sides. One LC and two Remington 1900 12 gauges. I did like how the 1900s came up and handled.

I'm a sxs nut. I have one o/u still. Its a 32" Browning 20 ga 525 sporting clays gun. It doesn't see the light of day much. I've had a fair sized pile of o/u guns but they're all gone and replaced with sxs guns. I think you've gotten some good info, especially Toolings summation. I deviate from his...

Handled the guns below today. All are in great shape. Merkel felt the best, came up and swung nice, beautiful wood on it also. LC Ideal was a bit heavy I thought. BSS wasn’t as light as it looks but came up pretty darn nice. Not the best looking wood on it. It’s a start I guess. We have a gun show i...

No matter the dog the more range the better. A dog chasing a deer, fox, coyote, etc..can cover a ½ mile in no time flat.

Re: .204 vs .223 vs .22-250?

Thanks for the info Jimbo, mcreole, and mtlhdr - Maybe 100+ yards then? Wasn't quite sure since I've never hunted coyotes. AS of now I don't need anything large like a 270 or 7mm-08. I've been doing a little reading/research and a lot of people say the wind effects the 204 less than the .223 or .22-2...

I am trying to decide which barrel to buy for my T/C Encore: .204, .223 or .22-250. It will mainly be used for coyotes and jack rabbits. I've heard .204's are a lot of fun.

Can you guys please give me the benefit of your experience on caliber choice?
