Re: Food/Diarrhea Help
by mcbosco Skip the wormer and just use a new food. Wormers shouldn't be used without confirmation of a problem, so maybe the vet should advise you. Coccidia is largely an issue for young puppies anyway. Buy Precise, Canidae Chicken & Rice, Royal Canin Medium Active (called Special) those should be...

The dog broke his leg just 2-3 wks ago? Don't push it! Fractures do not heal in 2-3 wks. That dog should be on crate rest. Problems happen when owners allow too much freedom to dogs too early. You should consider your fall season as rehab. Dog should return to work next year. You usually start by wa...

There are a ton of studies that show H202 is not an effective anti-bacterial plus it irritates healthy cells. Plain soapy water works well. I use Nolvason solution. Either way, then use an antibitoic ointment.
As far as a course of antibiotics, 10-14 days. 4? No.

However, at 8 wks post-op, your dog should be more then toe-touching while standing. Have you asked your vet about this?

Ditto. For hard chewers nothing comes close to the Galileo bone, nothing. Mine is 3 years old and has years ahead of it. Nylabone makes it.
Bully sticks last about 20 minutes in my house. Not a "long term" chew toy. They do love them though and they make good treats.
