Do you have deer ticks in your area?? Sounds to me like a bulls eye rash, and that is lymes. I found a deer tick on Vern and a bulls eye rash, took him immediately to the vet, and he is on Amoxycillin twice a day for two weeks. According to my Vet, the Lymes Test is not effective until 6 weeks after...

I am a big fan of French Brittany's, but then I have one. I hunt, and do Field Trials and Hunt Tests with Vern. He is my buddy, and sleeps in bed with me. These dogs are fantastic companions, and in the field can run with most dogs. They do not have the big run All Age dogs have, but Vern will hunt ...

GSPC MN Walking Trial
Chris and Jacob,
I want to say thanks for putting on a good trial. I thought the trial ran great and it would be hard to see how it could go any smoother

pedigree software
Has anyone used any software for breeding purposes. I know there is software available that can compare pedigrees and the like. I am wondering what the pros and cons are.
Thank you,
Thank you,

Like you, I was offered a job at a lot more money. There was no travel involved, but it would have severly limited my days off, and I already had 3 trips planned this year for trials and whatnot with Vern. Money means little to me, if I can't use it doing the things I love. I recently had someone co...

I think everyone is jealous because the Britts are such good looking dogs!! Oh wait it is the French Britts that are the good looking ones. Chris is the format for retrieves the same as it was at last years trial, or are you going to do callbacks for the retrieves? We heard last year that it might b...

I can hardly wait, it should be a great time, even though I can only stay for one day on my way to GA. So if you see some poor scmuck having trouble stayin...

I agree John. I field trial UKC, AKC, and FCI, plus Hunt Tests in AKC. A dog has to have good manners. UKC and FCI if a dog does not have good manners and respond to the handlers commands, pick the dog up, you are done. Vern also sleeps in bed with me, and when we were in France, he got to experienc...

I give my dogs Ivomec, have been using it for about 7 months now. I squirt it on a piece of bread and they eat it. Much cheaper than Heartgard. Make sure you use Ivomec for cattle and swine, and not for horses. Second do not use Ivomec Plus, and lastly do not give it to hearding breeds. I got mine a...

Which breeding will you be getting a dog from, the early one? I do know a couple of the dogs, as they are from the same kennel Vern is from. I also see a dog from Shipleys. Kali has Nat in her pedigree, and he was a great dog. I met the breeder of Nat, Pierre Terran when I was in France in Oct. Hank...

Hello, LOF is the European registration number for a dog. When a dog comes into the US, it has to have an export pedigree, and then when you register it with UKC or AKC you get a registraion number form the. OW and BW, I could be mistaken, but I believe are referring to the color of the dog. Orange\...

It is always hard to know where to get a dog from. I have one from Mooney's, and I have done a lot with John. He can be difficult to work with at times, but in the end, I think he cares for the breed, and produces some of the best dogs in the country on a consistent basis. I have talked to many othe...
