Re: How much does your Brittany weigh?
A 62 lb Britt must be an interesting looking dog! I have seen some of them, the family that we started hunting with in western KS has a whole corral of them. My britt weighed in between 50-55 lbs. These britts made him look like a dwarf, they weren't fat and had to weigh close to 70 lbs. Prob 6 in....

While in South Dakota a few years back, we were driving down a gravel road when a falcon dive bombed a flock of pigeons and drove one into the ditch no more than 20 yards in front of the truck. Amazing the speed in which he hit the pigeon, then just stood on top of it in the ditch, pretty cool to see.

Beretta 390 12 ga, 1920's era A-5 Sweet 16, Tristar 16 ga. O/U. Depends on what and where I am hunting, the 390 gets the most use. The 16's will see a lot of upland hunts and occasionally a duck hunt.

From what I have seen, my vote would go for the lab, great dogs no matter what you will be doing with them, but it can go either way. I have seen a few GSP's that were good housedogs, but every lab I have seen has been a good housedog. Size can be another issue to think about though.

Can be good numbers of birds, depending on the habitat and terrain. The further east of Coldwater you can get into hill and canyon country, depends on where it is, great turkey and deer hunting, can vary year to year.
