we charge $50, buts that because we send them all in to the state lab. we used to do the in house test, but frankly i have so few requests for canine brucellosis tests that the in house tests would expire before i could get even close to using them up. another thing to keep in mind is that generally the more of something you buy, the less you have to pay for it per unit. we quit selling ear tags at the vet clinic because Farm and Home could sell them cheaper than we could buy them. I wouls imagine the same thing goes for dog food inputs as well.

This is NOT a good thing, in my opinion. if the dog was worth $10,000, then that's what the owner should have been awarded. If a certain breed has a problem, then crossing it with another will usually help to reduce or eliminate that problem. Dilution, so to speak. take him out and let him run where there isnt a lot of dog traffic, and you should be fine. If he has 2-3 shots in him now, then i would say his immunity is good. no way to say that definitively of course, but you cant keepem in a bubble.

if your dog is current on rabies vaccine you have nothing to worry about. rabies virus is shed in the saliva of an infected animal, and then the virus needs to come into contact with a mucous membrane or open wound, sore, etc.

The biggest things i look at as far as bloodwork is concerned is the liver and kidney function. these are important for processing the anesthesia. Metronidazole won't treat coccidia. That's what the Albon is for. Panacur should get the giardia, so you could drop the metronidazole, but talk to your vet first. In human babies extra fat is supposed to be good for brain development, or so ive been told. cant say whether its the same for dogs or not, but it makes sense to me. Fat is key component of the nervous system.
