Re: Self Feeders ?
When I had my pointers and one lab I used self feeders. The two EP's did real well on them while the Lab tended to eat all the time and pork out. I think it kind of depends on the dog's mind set....I've had some dogs that I think food is all they thought about and would prob. founder with a self fee...

Come to find out their son lost two younger/middle age Brits both to cancer and both weeks apart. Their...

This is the "everyone is a winner" theory. Same as kids not being allowed to play dodge ball in schools because there is only one winner and the slower "big boned kids", insert picture of me in 8th grade, are not fast enough to win and always get creamed. Or maybe it is more like the everyone finish...

I got several and I mean several sample bags of the food at a outdoor show in KC! The pup loved it and my sons dog loved it, we even did a taste test with our old food and the new ( dogs did the tasting not us) ! So it was not a blind investment of 50 lb bags by any means. I might also add that my f...

Re: Puppy under foot?
Pup is about 12 weeks old, the CC is just used as a walking tool to let him range out a bit more than with a leash. I don't correct him on the leash, CC, or under foot. He explores when I take him out and I don't use a leash or CC when only in the yard such as play time or potty time. I just kind of...

IMO the decrease in our area is in large part because of the CRP land. What used to be crop fields with brush wind rows is now thick grasses and weeds. This IMO while may have helped some on our pheasant numbers has killed our quail numbers. The CRP is too thick for the Quail and is home to a growin...
