A 6X6 chain link dog kennel works well. Use an additional panel for the top and a few pieces of PVC in the corners for roosts and you're set. You may need to add some smaller size netting to contain the quail...

If you want to save some $ over new, look at refurbished units from Collar Clinic. Otherwise, look at the entry level models from TriTronics or Dogtra.

Seems awfully small to me to keep them in any kind of flying condition. You could easily build a larger one using 2X2s and chicken wire. Here's a picture of mine in the back yard...I don't have homers in it, but primarily breeders. http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o293/jchoth/Pigeon-Pen1_zpsa3f92a...

There are no comparision between Penn Hip measurements and OFA grading. Each body uses different techniques for their evaulations. I know of a dog that has a PennHip measurement greater than .45 in each hip and OFA graded Excellent. With this PennHip measurement, they ranked in the 40th percentile f...

Try looking for a used commercial type topper. I put one on my truck last fall and am throughly pleased with it. As you can see, it has a rack to carry a kayak or canoe, both side doors open, and you can open one or both rear doors. When I purchased it, it came with the bed slider as well. I added a...

There are a lot of GWPs that have the appearance of a WPG. As previously stated, there is a large range in GWP coats and I've been surprised at times. WPGs also have an equally wide range in coats. Heck, I've even seen a couple that could almost pass for a GSP. If you are happy with him, why worry. ...

Keep him on a leash/check cord until his reliability is 100%. Conduct your training in a variety of locations. Start teaching whoa and use it at the door; both coming in and going out. Reinforce this by using the half hitch around the flank to prevent bolting out the door. As you have found, chasing...

Field work requirements between the two are similar. AKC you run in a brace with another dog, NAVHDA you run by yourself. Dog is expected to be steady to wing, shot, fall, until released for the retrieve. Retrieve must be to hand. AKC your dog is expected to readily back the pointing dog and remain ...

1. Does the WPG really not shed or shed very little? This is important in our house. Yes, Griffons shed. Some more than others. They don't have seasonal shedding like some breeds, but shed year-round. If you keep them combed and brushed, you don't have quite as much clean up to do around the house. ...

Tennis ball = fun...bumper = work. Throw a few "fun" bumpers mixed in with the tennis ball. Also a good idea to finish with a couple fun bumpers at the end of a session.
